Norkem recently relocated its Australian and Spanish offices to larger premises to accommodate exceptional business growth in both territories.
In Australia, the Sydney office moved to Wheelers Hill in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The move was prompted by a number of factors including the need for more space and improved recruitment opportunities within the chemical sector – Sydney’s low unemployment rates making it difficult to recruit staff in the right numbers and with appropriate experience. Extensive research identified the Melbourne area as providing greater opportunities and this has proven to be the case with three new staff already joining the Norkem team over the last two months.
Melbourne also offers a number of business opportunities in terms of potential customers due to the large industrial base in and around the city. Norkem Australia will be looking to recruit additional experienced support staff to add to their existing customer service teams.
When asked about the new office, Commercial Manager Amit Bhaskar said “I am both pleased and excited with the move to Melbourne and the prospects this gives us for future growth. We are expanding and our new office provides us with a number of unique opportunities.”
Shortly before the Australian move, Norkem Quimica moved their Spanish office to bigger premises in Puerto de Sagunto, Valencia. The new office, only 500 metres from the old office building, is significantly bigger and can accommodate existing staff whilst allowing for future expansion as the business continues to grow.
