The Norkem team is all set to return to Barcelona in May for Vitafoods Europe 2026, the world’s premier nutraceuticals trade show.
Over three days from 5th to 7th May, upwards of 30,000 professionals from across the functional food and supplement supply chains will gather at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via for what is now firmly established as the biggest event of its kind anywhere in the world. Norkem is confirmed as one of 1,600+ exhibitors at what promises to be a real celebration of a burgeoning sub-sector of the food and beverage industry.
The continued expansion of Vitafoods reflects the increasing importance of nutraceuticals within the wider food and drink landscape. As consumer awareness of the link between diet and health grows, manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on ingredients that deliver both nutritional value and appealing taste and texture. Functional foods are no longer a niche - they are becoming a core part of product development strategies across the industry.

Derived from plant sources, NiHPRO™ boasts an amino acid profile, protein purity, taste and texture that matches whey, but avoids the digestibility problems associated with lactose intolerance. Billed as ‘protein for everyone’, NiHPRO™ last year secured its first UK listing when premium supplements brand Strom Sports Nutrition used it in a new range of protein products.
At this year’s Vitafoods, we will also be showcasing a new product from NiHTEK for the first time. KARBFiX® is an alternative to Cluster Dextrin manufactured from pea starch left over from the protein isolation process used to make NiHPRO™. With neutral taste profile and excellent solubility, this specialised complex carbohydrate additive has been engineered to provide fast, reliable energy release for pre, intra and post workout products.
