This is possible from just one bag to full truckloads or even bulk silo deliveries. Packaging is available in bulk, standard big bags of 25 kg and 1000 kg net, or tailor-made packaging upon request (e.g. 500 kgs big bags or 800 kgs big bags).
Customer demand is key
At Norkem, we follow the principle of starting from the needs of customers. In short, our first question is what you need instead of we have this for you. Because we have many different grades of zinc oxide in our portfolio, we can select the right product for the customer on a tailor-made basis. This applies both to our customers' specification requirements and to the desired packaging. Norkem offers the Zinc Oxide in powder and granules to customer specifications.
With technical grades produced by American Process, Red Seal, White Seal and High Purity made by French Process and Active or calcined Zinc Oxide made by Chemical Wet Process, Norkem can supply Zinc Oxide for any application and industry.
Norkem has a long history of supplying zinc oxide to customers and partners and has made every effort to secure the supply chain with our partners, where we are multiple sourced, to ensure consistent supply.
Applications
Zinc Oxide is used in a wide range of applications around the world. Some of the largest applications are:
Rubber
The largest application for zinc oxide is rubber products. Zinc oxide is preferably used as an activator in the vulcanisation or curing process. It is used in all kinds of rubber, from conveyor belts to car tyres and general rubber and rubber additives to latex compounds.
Ceramics
One sector in which Zinc Oxide plays an important role is the ceramics industry and in glaze making. Adding Zinc Oxide to the glaze mix greatly improves elasticity and lowers the melting point to minimise the risk of cracking and produce a smoother finish.
Glass
In glass production, zinc oxide is used to lower the melting temperature, reducing energy and equipment requirements while improving the gloss of colour glazes.
Animal feed
As a source of zinc for trace elements for livestock, zinc oxide feed grade is used. This mineral plays an important role in the growth and development of livestock as it is essential for several physiological processes.
Other Zinc Oxide applications include antifouling coatings, pigments, pharmaceuticals, fertilisers.
