Food Matters: Norkem Secures Exclusive Invitation to Showcase Protein Isolate >
Norkem is teaming up with protein innovators NiHTEK to make a first-ever appearance at Food Matters Live in Manchester at the end of November.
Formerly a trade exhibition for the food ingredients industry, Food Matters events follow a more exclusive format these days. Rather than a packed hall of exhibitors, attendees are treated to a carefully curated programme of invited speakers and roundtable discussions,
with a focus on showcasing the latest and most exciting products, sustainable sourcing and positive nutrition.
Several Food Matters Live events take place every year in Manchester, Ascot, Dublin and Rotterdam. For the next instalment, we’ve been invited to the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground to promote NiHPRO, the ground-breaking hydrolysed protein isolate developed by NiHTEK that promises to shake up the sports nutrition market. Using a novel fermentation-based isolation and purification process, NiHTEK has been able to produce a lactose and allergen-free protein that matches whey in taste, mouthfeel, amino acid content, solubility and digestibility.
Protein for everyone
We’ll be joined at the event by Drew Campbell, sports nutrition entrepreneur and founder of NiHTEK. NiHPRO is the result of his vision for creating a ‘protein for everybody’, that could match the nutritional profile, taste and texture of whey, but which was also allergy-safe and suitable for people looking for sustainable alternatives. Drew will be hosting a talk on the main stage on day one of Food Matters Live, along with NiHTEK’s chief scientist Dr Seiji Aoyagi. Dr Seiji led the four-year development project that led to NiHPRO being commercially released in 2024.
At Norkem, we’re always on the lookout for emerging next-generation products with broad appeal and we were delighted to partner with NiHTEK soon after NiHPRO’s launch. We see it as exactly the kind of versatile ingredient that our food and drink clients are increasingly looking for, simultaneously ticking the right boxes on nutrition, health, sustainability and flavour. We’re excited about the opportunities NiHPRO opens up in the market and we’re looking forward to hosting a series of roundtables throughout Food Matters Live to give delegates the chance to talk more about the topics raised in Drew and Dr Seiji’s presentation, dig more into the detail about what NiHPRO is and what it can be used for - and, most exciting of all, try the product out for themselves!
We think this is a perfect platform for us to help spread the word about NiHPRO among a well-informed audience of R&D and New Product Development professionals.
Food Matters Live takes place at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester on 26-27 November. We invite anyone interested in attending to let us know in advance. Click here for more details on how to register to attend.
